Abstract (EN)

This study's purpose is to determine effect of occupational risks of health workers on work stress during pandemic. The populations of descriptor and cross-sectional study was comprised of health workers (n=150people) who work at Gümüşhane State Hospital in September-November 2020. It was planned and reached to study for health workers without selecting sampling method. Survey's data, consisting of an informed consent form created by researchers analyzing literature with socio-demographic characteristics, occupational risk, workplace hazard, questions including work stress factors, "Health Workers Safety Scale" and "Beck Anxiety Scale" survey questions was applied under observation in 20 minutes during resting hours. Frequency, mean, standard deviation, ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis, T-test, Mann-Whitney U-test and correlation-test were used. Statistical significance level was taken as 0.05. The mean score of HWSS was found as 140.21±40.76 and the mean score of BAS was found as 37.36±13.48 in health workers during pandemic. Health workers who receive OHS training have higher work safety; health workers who don't have OHS training have higher anxiety. As condition of health workers goes from good to worse, their anxiety increases while job security decreases. Health workers who fed regularly have higher work safety; health workers who fed irregularly have higher anxiety. Health workers who have sleep problems have higher work safety. Work safety in hospital where research was made during pandemic but health workers experienced severe anxiety. As work safety of health workers increases, their anxiety decreases. Studies should be applied to increase the number of OHS trainings and raise awareness for health workers. Keywords: Work stres, Occupational risks, Health workers
