Abstract (EN)
In the modern world economy, where the consumption frenzy has not caught up, consumption activities have begun to change and consumers' demand for goods or services has changed. Consumer's purchasing behavior is important in addressing the sectoral-based expenditures and payment habits of individuals. In this study, it has been investigated whether there has been a change in the sectoral-based expenditures and payment habits of consumers due to the covid-19 epidemic. The main population of the study is 13 sectors (car rental, petrol and fuel stations, private pension, various food, electrical-electronic goods-computer, clothing and accessories, service sectors, accommodation, market and shopping centers, health-health products-cosmetics, travel agencies, telecommunications and food). One-way analysis of variance was performed for unrelated samples for the periodical averages of pre-pandemic (2018- 2020 February), pandemic period (2020 March-2021 May), post-pandemic 2021 June-2022 June) averages. (One Way ANOVA) According to the results of the study, the effect of the covid-19 outbreak is seen in the changes in the expenditures made by the consumers on a sectoral basis and the payment habits they use while making these expenditures. The underlying reason for this is again associated with the covid -19 epidemic. The individual has increased his demand for the telecommunication sector for communication, information and long distance communication during the epidemic process.
