Abstract (EN)

Design is a useful, aesthetic and innovative concept that has emerged to meet the needs of people. The concept of innovation, one of the building blocks of design, aims to destroy the mediocrity that has emerged with industrialization. With industrial design, physical and functional relationships can be established between products and users. In this way, the products manage to attract the attention of the consumer, but also meet the needs of the user and ensure that they use them safely. A type of design that was so popular in the Sten periods is parametric design. Parametric design is formed by shaping the design of many variables. These variables include parameters such as mathematical, user, material, and environmental. Parametric design, although widely used in the field of architecture, is also used in many industrial products around us. One of the sectors where parametric design is used is the ceramic sector. Parametric design, which is a new concept in the ceramic sector, brings innovation to table ceramic products as form and surface design. Ceramics, which has a history of thousands of years, is encountered almost everywhere where man exists. Ceramics are used in many areas of human life. One of these areas is the table ceramics sector. Within the framework of this research, it is aimed to associate the table ceramics we use in daily life with parametric design. By analyzing the parametric design, form and décor application examples were developed by using the parametric design understanding in the design of table ceramics.
