Investigation of seropositivity of hbsag, anti HCV, HIV Ag / Ab and anti HBS in patients applying to Patnos State Hospital

In this study, HBsAg, anti HCV, anti HBs and anti HIV Ag / Ab test results of 4463 patients (2971 women and 1492 men), who visited the governmental hospital between the dates 01/06/2018-31/08/2018 in Patnos district of Ağrı province were retrospectively analyzed. Distribution of the results of these parameters according to some demographic information (date of application, age range, sex, blood group, Rh factor, outpatient or inpatient treatment type) and whether there is a significant relationship between them was estimated with Xi2 using SPSS (ver. 22). Of the 4451 cases included in the study, 66.5% (n = 2962) were female and 33.45% (n = 1489) were male. In total 4451 index cases examined, HBsAg positivity was observed as 2.44% according to the application date, 2.44% according to age range, 1.9% in female patients by sex, 3.6% in male patients, 1.8% according to blood groups and Rh factor 1.92% in patients with Rh (+), 0.9% in patients with Rh (-), 2.46% by type of outpatient clinic, 2.78% in outpatient / inpatient treatment, 2.78% in outpatient treatment 1.60%. Anti HCV positivity was detected as 0.88% according to the application date, 0.88% according to age range, 0.77% in female patients, 0.7% in male patients, 1.1% in male patients, 0.5% according to blood groups, Rh (+) according to Rh factor 0.84% in patients with Rh, 1.2% in patients with Rh (-), 0.89% by type of outpatient, 1.16% in outpatients according to the type of outpatient / inpatient treatment, 0.17% in inpatients. Anti HBs positivity was estimated as 35.94% according to the application date, 35.94% according to age range, 30.48% in female patients by sex, 46.78% in male patients, 31.4% according to blood groups, Rh (+) according to Rh factor 31.3% of patients, 32.1% of patients with Rh (-), 35.9% by type of outpatient clinic, 40.9% of those treated as outpatient / inpatient, 25.4% of those treated as inpatient. Anti HIV Ag / Ab positivity was calculated as 0.12% according to the application date, 0.12% according to age range, 0.13% among female patients, 0.1% among male patients, 0.1% among male patients, 0.17% according to Rh factor 0.19% in patients with (+), 0% in patients with Rh (-), 0.12% by type of outpatient clinic, 0.1% in outpatient treatment according to the type of outpatient treatment, 0% in inpatient treatment, 17%. According to the Pearson chi-square test, it was concluded that there were no significant relationships between HBsAg positivity and the date of admission, blood groups and Rh factor; anti HCV positivity and blood groups, gender and polyclinic type; anti HBs with date of admission, age range, sex and type of outpatient clinic, and anti HIV Ag / Ab and all demographic information. On the other hand, according to the Pearson chi-square test, It was concluded that there was a significant relationship between HBsAg positivity and age range, gender, type of outpatient clinic, and outpatient or inpatient treatment; between anti HCV and age range, Rh factor, outpatient or inpatient treatment; anti HBs and application dates, age range, sex, type of outpatient clinic and outpatient or inpatient treatment and they were not independent from each other. As a a conclusion, prevention of diseases before emergence is a very important issue for our society both economically and socially. Among the prevention methods, the importance of vaccination for diseases that have been developed such as HAV and HBV in terms of disease prevention should be explained and the society should be encouraged to be vaccinated in accordance with the vaccination schedule at an early age. It was concluded that giving importance to the health education of people in the age group of 18-40, especially about HBV, HCV and HIV, informing the whole society about safe sexual intercourse by taking into consideration that these diseases are sexually transmitted, and paying attention for cleaning and hygiene (individually and socially) which are the factors affecting the epidemic of infectious diseases.
