Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to comprehensively examine the role of social media influencers as opinion leaders and their impact on followers' perceptions. Social media influencers play a significant role in modern marketing strategies and exert strong influences over large follower bases. The research aims to explore how social media influencers are perceived by their followers, the role of credibility and authority in these perceptions, and the contributions of influencers to marketing campaigns. The primary question of the study focuses on investigating the influence of social media influencers on followers' purchasing processes. Data were collected through an online survey from 385 consumers aged 18 and above. The survey included three scales to measure participants' attitudes towards social media influencers and their purchasing behaviors: "Attitude Scale towards Social Media Influencers' Marketing Activities," "SMI Opinion Leadership Scale among Followers," and "Intention Scale to Purchase Products and Services on Social Media Platforms." Data analysis was conducted using SPSS 22.0. Descriptive statistics including means and standard deviations were presented. The reliability of the scales was assessed using Cronbach's Alpha test, confirming the reliability of all scales. Factor analysis examined the construct validity of the scales, indicating significant sub-dimensions within the scales. Independent t-tests and one-way ANOVA were employed to examine differences based on demographic and social media characteristics. Sidak pairwise comparison tests were used for detailed evaluation of significant groups. Correlation analysis was performed to examine relationships between scales, and regression analysis was conducted to model multi-level relationships, with p-values less than 0.05 considered statistically significant. The findings of the study demonstrate that social media influencers have a powerful impact on their followers, which is critical for the success of marketing campaigns. The credibility and authority perceptions of social media influencers enhance followers' trust and loyalty, directly influencing the effectiveness of influencer marketing campaigns and positively affecting followers' purchase intentions. The reliability coefficient for the "Intention Scale to Purchase Products and Services on Social Media Platforms" was found to be 0.81, indicating a viii single-dimensional structure. The "SMI Opinion Leadership Scale among Followers" consists of six sub-dimensions with a reliability coefficient of 0.87. Limitations of the study include its restriction to a specific geographic region or cultural context, and the use of convenience sampling, which limits the generalizability of the findings. Nonetheless, this research contributes significantly to understanding the increasing role of social media influencers in modern communication and marketing landscapes. In conclusion, the strong influence of social media influencers on their followers emerges as a critical factor in the success of marketing campaigns. The study's findings provide valuable insights for both academic literature and marketing professionals. To effectively utilize social media influencers in marketing strategies, it is essential to consider their credibility and authority perceptions and integrate these elements into marketing strategies.
