Hydroelectric power plant on Pazarsuyu Valley (in Giresun) and environmental effects

This work is made up of seven sections. "Hydroelectric Power Plant On Pazarsuyu Valley (In Giresun) And Environmental Effects" Investigated according to the research principles and methods of geography science. In the first part of the study, aim was evaluated in the terms of method and importance. In the second part of the study, HPP concept and HPP types explained. The potentials of HPP in World, Turkey, Black Sea Region and Giresun scale have been examined. In the third part of the study, an overall assessment of the environmental impacts of HPP. Example of some environmental impacts of HPP. Also mentioned anti-HPP actions. In the fourth part of the study, the physical, human and economic geographical features of the Pazarsuyu Valley, which is our research area, have been examined in connection with the Giresun and Bulancak. In the fifth part of the study, technical information about HPP in Pazarsuyu Valley was mentioned. In the sixth part of the study, the environmental effects of HPP in the Pazarsuyu Valley have been assessted from natural human and economic aspects. In the seventh and last part of the study, the problems arising from the specified environmental impacts and the suggestions fort he solution of these problems are explained.
