Abstract (EN)

In this study, a selective preconentration method has been developed for solid phase extraction of Pd(II) in various enviromental samples based on the adsoption of its 4-phenly-5-{[(4-phenly-5-pyridyn-4-il-4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-il)thio]methyl}-4H-1,2,4-triazo le -3-thyol (FEPİTMET) complex on Amberlit XAD-2010 as an adsorbent in mini column system. Pd(II):FEPİTMET complex occurs in HNO3 and the adsorbed complex was eluted using hydrochloric acid?acetone mixture and the concentration of Pd(II) was determined using flame atomic absorption spectrometry.The developed method was optimized by examining various analytical parameters affecting the quantitative recovery of Pd(II). The highest recovery was obtained with 0.05 mol L?1 HNO3, 1 M HCI in acetone 7.5 ml as elution solvent, 1.0 mg FEPİTMET amounth and 750 mL sample volume. It was also confirmed that Pd(II) recovery was quantitative system works between 3.1?23.1 mL min?1 independent from flow rates and matrix ions do not interfere the system up to high tolerance limits. By utilizing Langmuir isoterm model, the FEPİTMET?Pd(II) complex capacity of Amberlit XAD?2010 resin scaled as 12.8 mg g?1.The limit of detection of the method was found as 0.6 µgL-1 with a % 6.2 relative standard deviation value and enrichment factor was 375. The accuracy of the method proved by the standart material analysis (CRM?SA?C Sandy Soil C) and tests of analit spiked/recovery. The method was successfully applied for determination of Pd(II) in motorway dust samples, anodic sludge, gold ore, industrial electronic waste materials and various water samples.
