Abstract (EN)

Dermal aging is a physiological process that occurs as a result of changes in the molecular level of the skin due to extrinsic and intrinsic factors. Today, people's need and interest in anti-aging products, which constitute about one-fifth of the world cosmetics market, is increasing. It is preferred that the anti-aging active ingredients be formulated as naturalstructured carrier systems without side effects. In this thesis study, hydrogel mask formulations that are expected to have an antiaging effect have been developed using Acetylhexapeptide-8, Marigold extract and Calendula flower extract. In our study,in order to formulate the Acetylhexapeptide-8 active ingredient stable, hydrogel carrier systems have been used, which can preserve the efficiency of peptides and prevent their denaturation due to their high water content. In this study, unlike other types of sheet masks, durable hydrogel mask formulations have been developed using different polymers in order to eliminate this disadvantage of hydrogel masks, which have a fragile structure. In this context, the rheological, mechanical and tensile properties, determination of swelling behavior, bioadhesion forces, active substance content, physicochemical stability and IR spectra of the formulations were investigated. Consequently, it was determined that F1A5 and F1A10 hydrogel mask formulations containing Acetylhexapeptide-8 (5% and 10%) and herbal extracts are formulations that comply with the cosmetic quality criteria. In the next stage, it is planned to conduct in vivo studies and efficiency tests of the selected hydrogel masks.
