Abstract (EN)
Retail sector is changing in Turkey like all over the world. This evolution brings positive and negative impacts. The development of modern retailing and the regression of the traditional retailing generally effect the consumers positively. But the traditional retailers those are still employing a huge group of people are being effected negatively from modern retailers. Traditional retailers will be able to decrease this negative effect by going into a cooperation on their own and by being specialized. Deputy of the traditional side are waiting for the new law to be implemented. But 37,7 percent of the 220 small business owners in Usak which we have applied the survey stated that they are not aware of this law draft. The results of the survey also showed that the small businesses in Usak had been effected negatively from the big retailers .
