Reflection of family into Peri̇de Celâl's novels

In this study, families in Peride Celâl's Sönen Alev, Yaz Yağmuru, Ana Kız, Kızıl Vazo, Ben Vurmadım, Atmaca, Aşkın Doğuşu, Yıldıztepe, Dar Yol, Üç Kadının Romanı, Kırkıncı Oda, Gecenin Ucundaki Işık, Güz Şarkısı, Evli Bir Kadının Günlüğünden, Üç Yirmidört Saat, Kurtlar, Deli Aşk novels are examined. In the study kinds of family and relations among family members in the novels are attempted to be determined and it is aimed to present Peride Celâl's point of view on family institution. In the first chapter of the thesis, concept of family is studied and under this concept structural history of family, formation conditions and phases of family, the marriage institution which is an important step in the formation of the family, kinds of family, relations of family with other instutions, problems of family are mentioned. Besides in this chapter, family definitions of the sociologists are also discoursed and a common opinion is drawn from these definitions. In the second chapter; family structures and relations among family members in Peride Celâl's novels are examined. In conclusion, it is determined that family structures and relations among family members in Peride Celâl's novels are collapsed due to social issues in the historical process, classification of the people, the perception of life based on material power away from spiritual values and degenerations.
