The word syntagm of the novel Fatih- Harbiye

This study consists of an observation of the first eighty pages of Peyami Safa?s ?Fatih-Harbiye? novel according to the word syntagm. Some of the aims which are desired to be achieved are to bring out a different comment on observing a novel with the understandings of both classical grammar and modern philology, to fix the power and limits of Turkish by this novel and besides to identify how the author?s emotions, thoughts and observations turn into broad structures. As a result of this the novel is surveyed in 10 different parts. In the introduction part, information about syntax and historical backround of syntax, In the first part, the life of the author, his understanding of language and genre, his personality of literary and his works are referred. In the second part, features about concepts which form the novel are mentioned. In the third part, inflection of nouns which sets the relations among the concepts and temporary concept nouns are pointed out as `defined noun? and `adjective? subordinatives. In the fourth part, the relations between sentence and verb are mentioned. This part is also the basic part of the study and sentences are classified according to their functions. The assessment of `sentence complements? which were complemented by noun and verb phrases formed the fifth part. In the sixth part 1444 structure of sentences are observed in details. The array characteristics of the structures of the sentences take place under the title of `serial sentences? in the sixth part. `Sentences according to their elements? array? take place in the seventh part. `Sentences according to their kind of verb? take place in the eighth part. In the ninth part `sentences according to their meanings? are given as statistical. The tenth part includes the total results which are referred from the general of the observation. In order to provide the reader?s/observer?s making maximum use of this study it is given a corpus in the eleventh part. Finally the morphemes which are used in the study are given in `concordance of form info? and the works which are used to form this study are given in `resources? aggregate.
