Abstract (EN)

The novels of Peyami Safa, one of the strongest novelists of Turkish literature, are suitable to be examined in many ways. Rene Girard, one of the critical theorists of French literature, examined the classical works of world literature in his book called "Romantic Lie and Novelistic Truth" and revealed the "Triangle Desire Model" by making use of the networks of relations between people. The model includes a desired object, a desiring subject, and a mediator that triggers the subject's desires. According to the theory, the subject's desire is not pure, its source is mediating. Girard defines works of this nature as "novel" novels. This thesis consists of four parts.
