Abstract (EN)
Vibrations negatively affect both the structural integrity of the systems and increase the noise levels of the systems. In order to control and dampen the vibration occurring in the systems, except for passive control methods, semi-active and active vibration control systems are used. The aim of this thesis is to absorb the vibration generated in stainless steel plates with different geometries by using the active vibration damping method which is created by using a different number of piezoelectric materials. The materials used for active vibration control are piezoelectric ceramic plates. In addition to experimental and analytical methods, current numerical methods were also be used in this study. With the active vibration damping studies performed on the plates of different geometries, the applicability of this method in both two-dimensional systems will be unearthed and the research on the suitability of the two-dimensional system to the geometry will be contributed in shaping the piezo system design.
