Abstract (EN)
Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease whose prevalence is increasing day by day and therefore its treatment is important. It is therefore important to conduct studies on the reproductive effects of pioglitazone, which has been frequently prescribed in the treatment of diabetes mellitus in recent years. In the study, dose-dependent cell viability was tested with MTT and neutral on TM3 Leydig and TM4 Sertoli cell lines, and the inhibitory concentration 50 was determined based on these concentrations. Based on these concentrations, it was observed that cell viability decreased in TM3 Leydig and TM4 Sertoli cells. As a result, the cytotoxic effect of pioglitazone detected on TM3 Leydig and TM4 Sertoli cells was evaluated as an indicator of reproductive toxicity.
