The concept of justice in Plato's dialogues

In this study, the concept of justice is examined as one of the basic issues of Plato's moral and political philosophy, which has left its mark in the history of philosophy. The main problems of this study are; what justice is, what its source and scope is, and whether it is universal. A comparison of different definitions of justice has been made to these problems and an example of a rational approach has been put forward. As a result of this reflection, the mythical approach of justice and different subjective approaches are mentioned. Therefore, in Plato, mythology, Sophists and Socrates representing different theses of justice were used. The purpose and framework of justice in the state, which appears as the practical reflection of justice in Plato, and its relationship with the human spirit and behavior are also among the topics studied. The individual effects of justice as a virtue in human life and the social effects of its reflection on politics are also discussed on the basis of Plato's dialogues.
