In this thesis, the use of modified poly (glycidyl methacrylate) (PGMA) particles for the removal of dye pollutants from industrial wastewater was investigated. EBT dye was selected as the model pollutant, and the adsorption capacities of PGMA-EDA and PGMA-DETA adsorbents were evaluated. Factors affecting the adsorption processes, including initial dye concentration, pH, contact time, and temperature, were examined, and the effects of these parameters on adsorption efficiency were optimized. The highest adsorption efficiency was observed at pH 4 for PGMA-EDA and at pH 6 for PGMA-DETA. Kinetic analyses revealed that the Pseudo-second-order kinetic model best described the adsorption mechanism, and the Langmuir isotherm results demonstrated that adsorption occurred on homogeneous surfaces in a monolayer manner. Thermodynamic analyses showed that the adsorption process was spontaneous, exothermic, and energy-efficient. The obtained results confirmed that PGMA-EDA and PGMA-DETA particles are environmentally friendly and highly efficient adsorbents. These adsorbents have the potential for widespread use in industrial wastewater treatment applications.
