Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, which deals with polypropylene obtained through recycling, it has been investigated how recycled polypropylene with the properties of the original raw material can be obtained with the additives that can be used to recycle polypropylene. Among the additive materials planned to be used in the study, the percentage usage rates of blowing agents, antioxidants, antistatic, strawberry scent, strength enhancers, UV stabilizers, and beeswax were determined. Samples were produced by providing a homogeneous mixture using the plastic injection method. Density, melt flow rate, ash determination, and TGA-DSC tests were applied to samples obtained from production with different additive ratios, recycled polypropylene samples without additives, and samples obtained with original raw materials, and their chemical and mechanical properties were examined. According to the data obtained from the tests, among the additive raw materials, the closest value to the original polypropylene raw material with a density of 0.92 g/cm3 was determined as the recycled raw material with 2% blowing agent additive. Among the recycled raw materials with additives, the raw materials with the highest melt flow rate values were obtained with 3% and 6% wax additives. The additive with the lowest filling percentage has a strawberry odor of 3% (Ash percentage: 2.52%), while the additive with the highest filling percentage has 6% (Ash percentage: 7.12%) antistatic properties. In TGA-DSC tests, it was observed that raw materials containing additives showed minor improvements in weight changes and temperature-dependent heat flow changes compared to natural materials without additives. It has been determined that it is possible to produce polypropylene with properties close to the original raw material properties due to the combination of polypropylene obtained through recycling stages and compatible additives. Still, the recycling content will affect this situation. Keywords: Recycle, Injection, Polypropylene, Additives, TGA-DSC test
