Abstract (EN)

In this study, the possible uses of industrial raw wastes generated in a local soft porcelain tableware production company in commercial porcelain tableware compositions were investigated and the raw wastes generated during the production processes were recovered. Although slurry and glaze preparation and glazing lines are the main sources of these wastes in the operation area, it is important to recover the raw materials that are lost during the production processes and produced as waste, since the access restrictions to quality raw materials have been on the agenda recently. A new product was developed by making recipe studies with waste sludge which physical and chemical properties were examined. It has been determined that the maximum possible waste sludge to be used in the recipe is 40-45% by weight. Chemical (XRF), mineralogical and phase (XRD), microstructure (SEM) and physical (strength, shrinkage, water absorption, deformation, colour measurements, edge impact strength) analyses. The recipe developed using raw waste, is used as a new product output in the plant. All tests were carried out in accordance with TS 10850 standards.
