Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study, it will be tried to determine in which sectors the competition is more intense and in which sectors it is less intense in Bartın. According to Porter's 5 power model, sectors where competition is less intense can be considered as an attractive investment area for new investors if there is no barrier to entry to the sector. Otherwise, it is not attractive to invest. In order to achieve this goal, two basic views come to the fore. These; Opportunity / Position approach proposed by Porter (2000) and the Resources-Based approach proposed by Wernerfelt (2002). In sum-mary, while the opportunity approach proposes to take advantage of external cookie analysis and oppor-tunities in the external environment as the source of competitive advantage, the Resources-based app-roach emphasizes the internal elements (basic capabilities) of the firm.
