Özet (EN)

his thesis aims to examine the reflections of post-structuralist thought, especially in theatre, by first giving information about the foundations of post-structuralist thought in literature, the pioneers of the theory and their main works in the field. In this review, with detailed analyses of the contemporary theatre plays, which are Venus in Fur, Tim Crouch's The Author, and Ella Hickson's The Writer; the plot structures, character configurations and the literary techniques that are used in these works are evaluated and exemplified from a post-structuralist perspective. As a result of the analyses made from the post-structuralist framework presented in the thesis, the question of "Who gives meaning to the text?" is aimed to be answered. The question of who plays the biggest role in structuring the meaning of the text in the triangle of writer, director and reader/audience is discussed in detail, and the analysis is intended to be supported by specific quotes from the mentioned theatre plays.
