Abstract (EN)

When Turkish body of literature is analized in relation with positive psychological capital, it has been clear that the studies were mostly about the effects of positive psychological capital. In this research, the role of perceived organizational support as a determinant of positive psychological capital that is used as a variable has been investigated. In this direction, the data obtained from a survey of 131 emergency service staff working in Kocaeli city, is analized. According to the results of the research, it is determined that the organizational support has a positive relation with the components of positive psychological capital that are optimism, prospect and self-efficacy whereas it has no relation with durability that is the other extent of positive psychological capital. The organisational support that will be given by the institution to their 112 emergency service staff will increase the optimism, prospect and self-efficacy of the staff in a positive manner.
