Abstract (EN)

This study aimed to investigate the effects of different warm-up procedures applied to predolescent judoka on selected motoric characteristics.. In our study, athletes (n=15, age: 11.46±1.69 years) receiving judo training at the Siirt Provincial Directorate of Youth Services and Sports participated in the control application, dynamic warm-up, static warm-up, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation warm-up, and ballistic warm-up applications using a cross-experiment design randomization method. Four different warm-up applications and performance measurement tests determining motor characteristics were conducted at 48-hour intervals. To determine the performance values of motor characteristics, sit and reach test, vertical jump test, Illinois agility test, 20-30 meter sprint test, 30-second sit-up and push-up test, star balance test, and right and left hand grip strength tests were measured. The SPSS 22 package program was used for the statistical analysis of the data obtained at the end of the research. The Shapiro-Wilk test was applied for normality testing. One-way analysis of variance for repeated measures was applied to analyze the differences between applications. The LSD correction test was used to determine which application had the difference. While statistically significant differences were found between the applications in the sit and reach test, vertical jump test, Illinois agility test, 20-30 m sprint test, 30 sec. push-up and sit-up test, and right and left-hand grip strength test performed by the participants, no statistically significant differences were found between the applications in the right and left foot star balance test results, despite the differences. As a result, it can be said that different warm-up procedures applied to preadolescent judokas have a positive effect on selected motor characteristics; especially the dynamic warm-up and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation warm-up applications showed more significant results compared to other warm-up procedures in terms of performance values.
