Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to determine the variables affecting the premenstrual syndromes, psychological pain levels, communication skills and quality of life of menstruating women between the ages of 18-45. In this context, the research data were carried out in Adana Real M1 Shopping Center and with 300 female individuals who met the criteria. In the study, Premenstrual Syndrome Scale (PMSS), Psychological Pain Scale (PAS), Communication Skills Assessment Scale (IBDI), World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale (WHOS) were used. According to the results of the research, it is seen that the women participating in the study experience a high level of premenstrual problems. It is seen that the place of residence of the women causes a change in the complaints of pain, sleep and swelling, and the complaints of the person with whom they live, irritability, appetite and bloating. The worsening of the economic situation in women has led to an increase in irritability syndromes. It has been observed that women's smoking and use of birth control pills increase premenstrual problems, but exercise and coffee consumption reduce various premenstrual problems. While it causes positive and negative changes in the quality of life of the people they live with, it has been observed that the quality of life increases with the increase in economic income and coffee consumption. A negative relationship was found between age and premenstrual syndromes and psychological pain. It has been observed that the prolongation of the menstrual period has a negative effect on communication and quality of life in women. It is thought that education support should be given in various periods in order for women to experience less negative effects of premenstrual problems.
