The purpose of the study is to reveal views of school administrators and teachers about proficiencies of project school administrators

The aim of this study is to reveal the opinions of administrators and teachers in project schools about the competencies of administrators. The population of the research, which is in the screening model, consists of teachers and school administrators working in project schools in various socio-economic districts of Istanbul in academic year 2020-2021. Random sample selection model will be used while determining the schools chosen as samples. "School Administrators Competency Inventory" will be used for research data. Analyzes such as; t-test, descriptive statistics, ANOVA and Kolmogorov-Smirnov will be used while analyzing collected data. In accordance with the findings of the study, it will be revealed at what level teachers find school administrators qualified and school administrators find themselves competent in the sum of all sub-dimensions. The opinions of school administrators and teachers related to the competence of administrators will be revealed according to the variables of gender, seniority, attendance to in-service training, educational status of school administrators, socio-economic environment of the school and the school success. The sources of differences in the competencies of school administrators will be determined by comparing opinions of school administrators and teachers. It will be concluded in what ways school administrators can develop their competencies by comparing the opinions of school administrators and teachers. In conclusion, the issues, which should be taken into consideration in the selection of administrators in the project schools, will be reconstructed from aspect of teachers and current project school administrators.
