Özet (EN)

In this study, the contribution of in vivo dose measurement method to the radiotherapy of patients with prostate cancer applied with the intensity modulated radiotherapy technique was studied using TLD and semi-conductive detectors. In the human equivalent structure model, the images of the target tissue and the risky organs for the YART plan were drawn using GE brand Light Speed RT BT. The target and risky tissues were identified based on these drawings. For the dose of apilied radiation YART plan with 6 MV energy has been done and the zone for applying dosimetry have been modified. Dosimeter was selected taking the position and intensity of the identified regions into consideration. Dosimeters used for the verification of the measurement were calibrated. In order to obtain the dose data, YART plan was applied on the human equivalent structure model using linear accelerator therapy device. The dose data obtained for rectum and bladder with the therapy planning system and data obtained from each dosimeter as a result of the measurements were compared. In conclusion; intracavitary rectal and bladder probes which are used for the purpose of dosimetry in brachytherapy are shown to be applicable also in external radiotherapy treatment.KEYWORDS: Thermoluminescence Dosimetry , Semiconductor dosimeter, IMRT, in vivo Dose Measurement, Quality Assurance
