The use of sarcosine nanoparticles for the diagnosis of prostate cancer

Abstract (EN)

In this study, it has targeted the early detection of prostate cancer which is the most common and second most common cause of death in men from urine samples. For this purpose, sarcosine memory nanoparticle systems have been developed. The molecular imprinted polymer (MIP)-based nanoparticles have been characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Size Analysis Zeta Potantial and dimensions of nanoparticles has found to be approximately 190 nm. Sarcosine imprinted nanoparticles have been immobilized on Reflectometric Interference Spectroscopy (RIfS) sensor surfaces and the detection limit has calculated as 0.010 mM. In addition, the selectivity of sarcosine nanosensor has investigated using L-Alanine amino acid which has very similar structure to the sarcosine structure.
