Abstract (EN)

The transformation of today's labor markets is related to political and economic factors as well as changes in working conditions and forms. Structural changes in working styles bring institutions face to face with different problems in an organizational sense and also lead them to seek different solutions. At this point, the acceptance of organizations that their most important power is based on human resources among the factors that will continue their existence and increase their competitive power has started a wind of change within the organization. Factors that will contribute to efficiency and effectiveness have been tried to be designed within the management approach and it has been attempted to gain the necessary awareness to control organizational processes with systematic studies. In this context, the concept of psychological contract has come to the fore and it has been accepted that it has an important effect such as managing employee behavior. This study attempts to empirically evaluate the effects of employees' psychological contract perceptions on safety climate in the process of developing safe behavior in the textile sector in the Trakya Region. The thesis examines the effects of safety climate on psychological contracts in order to regulate employee behaviors in the direction of safe behaviors by emphasizing the psychosocial aspects of occupational health and safety studies. It is claimed that the safe behavior of employees can be achieved through both cognitive awareness and correctly constructing the studies in this direction through the occupational health and safety studies of organizations. In the study, it is shown that employees' psychological contract perceptions are an important tool in this direction by separately correlating the transactional and relational psychological contract types, which are the sub-dimensions of the psychological contract. As control variables, variables related to demographic characteristics such as age, gender, education, and marital status were also examined. The data obtained by the survey method were analyzed with statistical programs. The selected hypotheses were tested by statistical analysis methods and the contribution to the organization was discussed and evaluated in the light of the findings. In this context, it is important for managers to be aware of the behavioral results caused by the psychological contract perception of employees in organizational processes in order to develop safe behavior in job security.
