Reflection of radical Islamist discourse in journals: The example of Şura, Tevhid and Hicret

The study is about understanding the diversity that Islamism gained in Turkey between the years 1970-1980, starting from a sociological approach. With modernization, which is a great paradigm shift, there are different discourse areas created by individuals and groups that have tried to produce an Islamic-appropriate answer to the questions and problems that arise in social life. Specifically, in this study, the radical Islamist discourse adopted by the Shura, Tevhid and Hicret Journals were subjected to discourse analysis within the framework of the concepts of "shariah", "nationalism" and "regime" in order to comprehend its effect on the radicalization of Islamist thought. By revealing the difference of the journals, attention was drawn to the importance they had in the formation of Islamist thought.
