Methods of radon gas measurement

Radon gas creates serious health affects on human health as the closed medium pollutant factor.In this work, 22 alpha sensitive photo films are placed in Faculty of Literature and Physical Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Education and the Presidential Building in Dumlupınar University Central Campus. By exposing to chemical process, the films are used to find out the amount of Radon gas in every room.Comparisons about whether smoking, air conditioning, the volume and the height from the floor of the medium where the films are placed, causes change in the amount of radon gas had been made. The results are compared with limits for the closed mediums accepted by the health organizations. Information is given about the precautions to be taken in case of high results
