Abstract (EN)

The structure of material environments forms the basis of shielding. In terms of properties, lead is the best shielding material medium. However, the toxic nature of lead is an important factor that accelerates the search for lead-free materials. Scope of our study, the shielding parameters of 14 different metal oxide added glass groups are examined by the Monte Carlo simulation method to design alternatives to lead-free glass materials that can be used in radiology units. As a result of the obtained data, the simulation results of the BSBaZn coded glass, which has also produced, has compared with the experimental results and presented to the literature with all measured shielding parameters.
