Abstract (EN)
This is a thesis which consists Rasim Özdenören's life, his art and conflict between tradition and modernism in his all stories. This thematic perspective in his stories hasn't been dealt in the studies about him up to now. I benefited from not only Özdenören's stories but also from his articles from books written about him and from works related to different fields. Rasim Özdenören's first story was published in 1957. His ten stories were published till 2009.The writer writing stories for nearly a half century is an important figure in the Turkish- story after 1970. The study consists of three main parts. The first part includes a general evaluation for concepts about tradition and modernism. The second part includes Özdenören's life, his arts and his works. The third part includes the conflict between tradition and modernism in his stories. I hope this study will become a reference for forward studies about Rasim Özdenören having an important role in the Turkish – Literature and Art in the last fifty years with his stories and articles
