Abstract (EN)

In this study, various aspects of the concept of alienation in eleven story books of Rasim Özdenören are handled. For this purpose, in the first part of the study, information about the life and works of Rasim Özdenören, whose stories are studied through the concept of alienation in this study, are given. In the second part, historical and theoretical aspects of the concept of alienation are briefly analyzed. In the third and the final part which consists the main issue of this study, examples of alineation forms emerging in Özdenören's stories are presented. Özdenören intensively mentions in his stories about the rapid and radical changes that derive from modernisation and their traumatic effects on the life of the society and individuals. As one of these effects, alienation takes place in his several works, also. In all of his works, from Hastalar ve Işıklar to Uyumsuzlar, he narrates the reflections of alienation on the social and individual aspects by picking out impressive scenes from life.
