The aims of this study are to interpret by analyzing instrumental compositions of Refik Talat Alpman technically and examine the methods and also to make a con-tribution to Turkish intrumental music by this means. This study is a descriptive re-search based on the scanning model in terms of its general framework, purpose and method. Preliminary information was obtained by scanning various sources related to the subject, and repertuard instrumental works of Refik Talat Alpman which were included in the sample were used as data collection tool. Refik Tâlat Alpman, which has an important place in the history of Turkish music, has nine instrumental composition that we can reach. He has contributed a new technique and style to the instrumental form with works he has composed. This study is important in terms of determining the technical characteristics of Refik Talat Alpman instrumental works and determining how he processed his instrumental form.
