Abstract (EN)
Aim: We aim to examine the risk factors of transformation from RRMS to SPMS, considiring the tobacco and alcohol usage, trigeminal neuralgia, autonomical symptoms, number of attacks, kinship narrative, optical attacks, scores of EDSS, physical therapy and rehabilitation, epilepsy, time between the first attack symptom and first treatment and cervical spinal cord lesion during magnetic resonance. Method : The datas are gatheredin a retrospective way from MS patients whose outcomes are filed in our hospital's database. Results: 145 MS patients are included in this research. 71 patients out of 145 are RRMS, 74 out of 145 patients are SPMS. 1,4% (n=1) of RRMS group, 9;5% of SPMS group had alcohol consumption(p=0,034). The autonomical symptoms of patients in RRMS group is 6 (8,5%) while the number of patients is 38 (51,4%) in SPMS group (p=0,001). The number of patients who had trigeminal neuralgia is 2 ( 2,8% ) in RRMS group while the number of patients who had trigeminal neuralgia is 9 ( 12,2% ) in SPMS group (p=0,034). The number of patients who had cervical spinal cord lesion is 31(43,7%) in RRMS group while the number of patients who had cervical spinal cord lesion is 61 (82,4%) (p=0,000 ). Conclusion : In our research, we had some parameters of the risks in transformation from RRMS to SPMS such as, the long time between the first symptom and first treatment, abudance of T2 lesions in MRI, the plague on the cervical spinal cord, alcohol consumption, trigeminal neuralgia andautonomical symptom Keywords: multiple sclerosis, progressive, remitting, risk, epilepsy, trigeminal neuralgia, optic neuritis, alcohol, tobacco, progressive
