Abstract (EN)

René Guénon was born and raised in France, created his own field of thought with the teachings of the East as the witness of the predicament of the West and became the foremost name of the Traditionalist Ecole. He converted a Muslim in 1912 and took the name Abdülvâhid Yahya. After his conversion, he tried to present a prescription to the current state of the West, which he called "sickly", using Eastern teachings. Upon the idea that the West has lost its meaning, he argued that this lost "original tradition" can be reached again with Eastern teachings. Although Guénon's understanding of knowledge, science and philosophy built on the idea of tradition are actually connected to each other like the links of a chain, in order to make sense of these concepts, first of all, it is necessary to master the "traditionalist" field of thought in which Ekol is involved. The metaphysical information that constitutes this field of thought is the source of the majör World religions. While Guénon emphasizes that this knowledge is metaphysical, in fact he cannot produce what man does not produce with his abilities and points out that it is an eternal knowledge diffferent from the knowledge that modern science produces, and he bases his critique of modern science and philosophy on this basis. In this context, we will try to explain, through this study, Ekol's attitudes towards the crises created by modern philosophy, together with the sacred science consisting of metaphysical knowledge and the unchangeable principles of this knowledge, around the concept of "tradition" centered on Guénon, who is the pioneer of our thesis subject in particular.
