The analyzing of Reşat Nuri Güntekin's novels in terms of educational value

Analyzing of Reşat Nuri Güntekin?s novels in terms of educational values is the subject of this research. In this research, the aim is to determine the inculcations in Reşat Nuri Güntekin?s novels related to ?Desired Behaviors For İndividuals?, ?Inculcations About Social Life?, ?Love of Country and Nation? and ?Sense of Religion?.In this research, survey research model and document review techniques are used. The universe of this research is Reşat Nuri Güntekin?s novels. The analyzing of nineteen novels of Reşat Nuri Güntekin in terms of educational value is the sample of this research.In the findings part, Reşat Nuri Güntekin?s novels are analyzed in terms of structure. In this part, his novels are listed by their published year. In comment part of the study, the values are identified and ordered according to their frequencies.It was seen that ?Inculcations About Social Life? were often used in Reşat Nuri Güntekin?s novels. In the analyzed novels, ``Charity??, ``Love and Compassion??, ``Love of Reading?? have been identified as the most used values.As a result, spending most of his life in education services, traveling throughout Anatolia due to his duty had caused to know closely the Anatolian people?s life style, values, customs and traditions and these reflected his work. Therefore, Güntekin?s novels as subject of this study have a significant role on education.Key words: Reşat Nuri Güntekin, Education, Literature, Value.
