An evaluation on the celebration style of official festivals and ceremonies by teacher’s and student?s point of view ( case of Afyonkarahisar)

It is certain that the ceremonies in school life has a great effect and importance on gaining cultural values and behaviours. These cultural values are the fundamental values in the base structural properties of nations to become real nastions. Thus the greatest bridge towards the success is the celebration of national festivals and ceremonies. This importance directs researcher to researh and evaluate the effect of celebration style of offıcial festivals and ceremonies by teacher?s and student?s point of view. In the research, firstly general information about ceremonies has been given, then, criterion helping the evaluation of ceremonial activities in school has been placed. Afterwards, national festival ceremonials, festivalisation of national days and recent activities and ceremonies have been analysed as a summary. Research data have been collected by forms specially designed for teachers and students randomly selected from 8th degree classes of 11 primary schools located at Afyonkarahisar?s city center and pastoral zone. Furthermore, in form, a space for the suggestion of teachers and students about celebration activities held on national festival days have been placed. Researches has shown that a unity can?t be established during the days of national festivals, except for some selected students, there is no active special dispersion of duty made, generally contentation by official celebrations and thus for the children at the age of play have been bored of these celebrations, and finally researches put forward that purpose of the arrenged ceremonies hasn?t been exactly succeeded. Because of this reason, there is a suggestion of celebration of national festival days especially for students, teachers and people by arranging interesting activities to attract people to this celebrations as real festivals.
