Abstract (EN)

In this study, performance tests of a beta type Stirling engine that has rhombic drive mechanism were carried out using 1000 W halogen lamp and a LPG fuelled heater. In order to transfer heat to hot end of engine by using halogen lamp, the cavity was made of stainless steel. Experiments were carried out at 450±10 °C hot end temperature by 1000 W halogen lamp and 600±10 °C hot end temperature by LPG fuelled heater using helium. Maximum engine power and torque were obtained as 96.9 W and 3.54 Nm at 6 bar charge pressure and 261 rpm engine speed, respectively for 1000 W halogen lamp. The maximum engine power and torque were obtained as 358 W at 8 bar charge pressure and 412 rpm engine speed and 8.41 Nm at 8 bar charge pressure and 399 rpm engine speed, respectively for LPG fuelled heater. 2018, x + 41 pages Keywords: Stirling engine, rhombic, engine torque, engine power.
