Venture capital application in Turkey and Afyon

This stady aims at exploring the nature and applicability of venture capital as a financing method turkey and Afyon. In the study, firstly historical dewoiopment and the application stages of venture capital are analyzed. Regarding the application of venture capital in Turkey, the vice-president of Vakıf Risk, the first venture capital in Turkey, was interviewed. Then, the high ranking representatives of four leading companies were also intervied to explore the applicability of venture capital in Turkey.The interview results indicate that venture capital is one of the finance method for the projects of innovation. As the small and medium sizedcompanies mostly do not get involved in the projects of innovation, venture capital does not seem to be a coomon financing thecnique for the majority of the companies in Turkey.
