Abstract (EN)
A Research On Determination Growth Of Selected Six Tea ( CamtlULa. tlntnilA (L) 0. Kunt2e) Clones (F-3. M-10, D-7, T-10, G-3 and P-20) At The Different Condiations. This study was initiated in 1990. Eighteen month old clones called Fener-3 (F-3), Muradiye-10 (M-10), Derepazari-7 (D-7), Tuğlalı-10 (T-10), Gundogdu-3 (G-3) ve Pazar-20 (P-20), previously selected at Rize Tea Research Institute, were used for this experiment. Determined clones were planted at four different altitudes within two valley called Çayeli-Çataldere (Ç) and lyidere-îkizdere (t) on March-1990. The altitudes are 150 m, 450 m, 750 m and 1050 m respectively. The experiment was arrenged as 2*4*6 factorial design. The plants were dug out on October-1991. Daily max. and min. temperatures, relative moisture and total monthly rainfall were measured with meteorology station, during experiment and result were evaluated. Statistical analysis of the experiment data shown that the highest dry weight of leaves and stems, leaf area, number of leaves and length of stem were obtained C*150m*T- 10 combination. Ç*150m*M-10 combination has given the high est root weight. The highest dry weight of branch, the ration of top to root and stem diameter were obtained î*450m*D-7 combination, the highest length of branch were obtained î*450m*T-10 combination, on the other hand the highest number of branch were obtained Ç*150m*D-7 combina tion. In the experiment was fixed with an average annual temperature 15.2°C, 13.2°C, 10.7°C and 10.6°C, relative moisture 75.1%, 74%, 66.3% and 64.8%, the total annual rainfall 2745 mm, 1670 mm, 1544 mm and 1303 mm at altitudes 150 m, 450 m,750 m and 1050 m respectively. It is necessery values above a total annual rainfall 1500 mm, relative moisture 70 per cent, on average annul temperature 12°C to grow tea plant. The parameters of cli mate determined in the altitudes 150 m and 450 m were found adequate for growth of tea. The values were under of this level at 750 m and 1050 m. While leaf, branch, root weight, leaf areas, stem thickness, branch length at 150 m and 450 m have shown similary. All of parameters at the altitudes 750 m and 1050 m have decreased sharply. Stem weight and length, leaf and brach number have decrease important amount, depending on the increase altitudes. Key Words: Tea ( Camzllla *JLnın*JL4 (L) 0.
