Ecological genetics of subsection glandulosi belonging to genus Rubus L.

Abstract (EN)

In this study, anatomical, morphological, palinological, phytochemical, cytogenetical, genetical and ecological characteristics of four taxa (Rubus tereticaulis, Rubus hirtus, Rubus platyphyllos and Rubus caucasicus) belonging to subsection Glandulosi, genus Rubus L. were examined. When the climate data was researched, it was found that Rubus caucasicus and Rubus platyphyllos need more humidity in their habiats than other taxa. It was determined that the highest fat content of plant materials was % 3,3, the highiest raw cellulose content was % 67,65. The results showed that elementary content of plant materials could be related to which was determined in soil samples and these plant materials were rich from potassium content, however they were poor in terms of copper. As a result of DNA fingerprint analysis done by ISSR technique, the genetic distance between Rubus hirtus and Rubus platyphyllos taxa was determined. It was established that Rubus hirtus was more close to Rubus tereticaulis genetically, and it was need to accept that this species has the same scientific name with Rubus platyphyllos. Through pollen images obtained with the help of SEM, palynological features of the Rubus caucasicus have been revealed, it was confirmed that this taxon had typical tricolporate Rosaceae pollens. As a result of morphological research, characteristics of taxa were studied in details and measurements were carried out. Characteristics which were sistematically important, especially in generative organs, were cleared out very much detailed. With this study, differences between Rubus hirtus and Rubus platyphyllos which were both morphological and genetical were put forward. A new key which made identification more easier and definite and new descriptions for each taxa were prepared for Glandulosi subsection. As a result of the phytochemical analysis, glycoside derivatives found in fruits belonging to the species were quantitatively compared.
