Rukye Garip's understanding of watercolor art and analysis of her works

This research involves the artistic understanding and works of Rukiye Garip with a realistic style approach in watercolor art. İn research, the watercolor technique which requires the painter's speed and courage as it is imposible to be corrected and risky, and the historical development of watercolor technique in the World and in Turkey has been researched. The artistic understanding and the works of the artist Rukiye Garip who works realistically, have been analyzed from a plastic point of view. Scanning model was used in the research. Semi- structured interview technique, which is one of the qualitative research methods based on this model,was used. Work analysis is included in the research. The artist, who genarally depicts the untouched pure ,clean and beutifulstade of nature, also processes the woking people of the rural areas as subject matter in her paintings. The purpose of the pictures is to prove to the viewer what is beautiful in the intellectual infrostructure. In her watercolor paintings, the artist frequently uses the salting technique based on the sprinking salt when the floor is wet in order to creating texture. Acording to the research results, it is obvious that Rukiye Garip,one of the living artists of our time, has gainned an important place among the watercolor artists in the World with her features such as originality and productivity in the understanding of art, subjects chosen, style and watercolor technique used.
