Abstract (EN)

In this study the antimicrobial effect and some antioxidant parameters of Rumex acetosella were investigated. Plant samples were cultivated in perlite and hazelnut husk medium and the effects of cultivation medium on antimicrobial and antioxidant parameters were studied. Antimicrobial effect of Rumex acetosella leaf extract was tested against different microorganisms. All extracts were effective against S. aureus and K. pneumoniae. No important difference were tested between two cultivation medium but the maximum antimicrobial effect was obtained with chloroform extract of hazelnut husk medium samples with the inhibition zone of 17 mm. Glutation level of metanol extracts of perlit medium samples were found highest and chloroform extracts of zuruf medium were found lowest. Similiarly phenol level of chloroform extracts of perlit medium samples were found higher than others. With these results, it was found that Rumex acetosella has a good antimicrobial and antioxidant effect, and cultivation of samples in different medium was caused some alterations in antimicrobial and antioxidant activities.
