Abstract (EN)
The aim of the study is foreign policy of Russian Federation in the Middle East after the collapse of Soviet Union. The place and the role of aforementioned region in international politics were examined. Historical relations of Russia with countries of the Middle East and Russian Federation's policy in given region is examined on the example of country's bilateral relations with its two most important allies Iran and Syria. In addition, Yeltsin's, Putin's and Medvedev's governing periods was analysed. This research is aimed to study policy of Russian Federation in the Middle East, as well as to analyse how foreign policy of Russian Federation affected all crises in the region; how major powers such as Iran and USA compete against each other in order to protect Russian Federation's interests in the region; political, military and economic relations between Iran and Syria, and how they affect security on the region was studied in this research.
