The evaluation of the hadiths that are about seeing the Prophet in a dream

Seeing the prophet (SAW) in a dream and how much it will be binding have drawn interest throughout history. Aspecially it is a subject that has been discussed among the clerks. Some academic studies have been done in different ways of hadith field about the dreams. But there hasn't been an exclusive study on the hadiths about seeing The prophet (SAW) in a dream yet. With the opinion that suach a gap should be filled, we chose "The Evaluation of The Hadiths that are About Seeing The Prophet in a Dream" as thesis subject.The thesis is consist of three sections. In the introduction section, we handled the subjects the place of the dream in the history of humanity, Islamic science and the evaluation of dream in modern phschology. In the first section, we tried to prove the reliability of the hadiths that are relevant to the subject, stating them from the hadith sources and analyzing their reliability. In the second section we tried to evaluate the hadiths with the frame of text criticizing criterias. As a conclusion some of the hadiths relevant to seeing the prophet in a dream were confirmed that they were realiable. But with the farme of text criticisng criterias, we reached a conclusion that such kind of hadiths couldn't be reliable as a result of our evaluation.
