Abstract (EN)
In this study, the 54,55 m long conical shaped wind turbine tower with circular cross sections, made off steel sheet and which is under static loads effect is focused on. Static loads are calculated separately in terms of DIN 1055-4 and IEC 61400-1. Safety factor is checked according to wind loads calculated per NTM, EWM50 and such scenarios. Calculations are made by utilizing SAP2000 software. In software a model which represents tower is created and related boundary conditions and loads calculated as explained in standards are assigned on the model. Loads are calculated by hand with using coefficients and mean wind speed expressed in the standards. Wind load is assigned to tower model as non-uniform distributed load. By the way static loads caused by masses of turbine components and tower's self weight are taken into account and modal analysis is run with these gravitational loads combination. Results of these analyses show towers mode frequencies, maximum stresses and forces appeared, and maximum displacements. These results are assessed in terms of the safety requirements defined in standards and the assessment reveals the approach differences between DIN 1055-4 and IEC 61400-1.
