Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the color changes occured following the soaking of retainer bonding agents in colouring solutions for 2 weeks. In the study, 5 different agents have been used to bond the retainers (Transbond™ LR Light Cure Adhesive, FlowTain™ Flowable Light Cured Composite, Filtek™ UltimateFlowable Restorative, G-ænial Universal Flo, EQUIA Fort Fil® Glass Hybrid Restorative System). 60 discs with 10 mm diameter and 2 mm height have been prepared using each agent (300 in total). The faces of discs have been polished prior to soaking in colouring solutions. Sanding has been applied by 600, 800, 1000 and 1500 grit emery grinder at 100 rpm for 20 seconds respectievely. After the sample faces have been smoothed a sample of each agent have randomly been selected and an area of 2x2 resolution has topographicly been examined by prophilometer device. The selected samples have been examined by SEM at 1000x and 2500x after topographic examination. Then the colour measurements have been done by spectrofotometer and initial L0, a0 and b0 results have been recorded. then all the samples have been put in a tissue soaked in distilled water for 24 hours and then soaked in the colouring solutions and left in etuve at 37 C for two weeks (Kloroben® Antiseptic Mouthwash, Curasept ADS 212® Mouthwash, Curasept ADS 220® Mouthwash, Listerine® Zero™ Mouthwash, Nescafe Gold, Vincent Şirince Red Wine).Colour measurements have been repeated third times to prevent the error magrin and aritmetic mean of this measurament has been used. At the end of the process all the samples have been washed by distilled water and colour measurements have been repeated. ∆E, ∆L, ∆a ve ∆b results have been calculated. As a result; in terms of ∆E colour change in all staining solutions, a clinically significant change has been observed in Flowtain™. In terms of ∆E colour change, it has been observed that coffee has caused a statistically significant decrease in L parameter of the colour in all materials. It has been observed that coffee has caused a statistically significant increase in a parameter of the colour. According to the results of delta ∆E, ∆L, ∆a ve ∆b interaction and two way ANOVA analysis, it has been observed that ∆E, ∆L, ∆a ve ∆b results have statistically significant effects in terms of material and colouring solutions.
