Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of yeast fermented grower diet as a probiotic source in quails. In this trial, 21 days old 120 male quails equalized live weight were used. Trial lasted 21 days. Tree treatment groups were consisted and 4 replicate for each treatment and chicks distributed belonging groups and replicates. Feed and water offered ad libitum. Trial was conducted in 50x100x50 ground cages with wood shaving. Feed intakes (FI), live weight gain (LWG) and feed conversion ratio (FCR) were recorded weekly. At the end of study growth and FCR developed in M1 group than control group (P<0,05). Gastro intestinal length (GITL) increased in M2 group than control and M1 group. Gastro intestinal weight (GITW) increased in M1 group than in the control and M2 group. Gizzard increased M2 group than that of other groups (P<0,05). Villi length increased linearly in dietary groups (P<0,01), crypt depth increased M1 group (P<0,01). Fecal microbiota did not change, but fecal yeast count was tend to increase in M1 group. At the end of this study. it was found that yeast fermented diet supplementation developed weight gain and FCR, GITL, GITW, villi length and crypt depth. To conclude, the addition of yeast fermented feed improves performance and intestinal health in broiler quails, therefore, its usability as a probiotic source in poultry nutrition was determined.
