A comparison of Sadık Yalsızuçanlar's "Gezgin" and Muhammed Hasan Alvan's "Mevtun Sağîrun"

The art of the novel, which first emerged in the West in the 18th century, spread all over the world and had a great importance in the field of literature. With the translation activities that started to be seen in Arabic literature in the 19th century, the first example of the novel type was written by the Egyptian writer Muhammed Hüseyin Heykel with the title Zeyneb. Over time, many writers who wrote novels that spread to all Arab countries have grown. In Turkish literature, the novel emerged with the translation movement in the middle of the 19th century, similar to Arabic literature, after westernization, and many writers who wrote works in this field were trained. Again, within the framework of comparative literature, which emerged in the 19th century and spread all over the world in the 20th century, many studies have been conducted on the comparison of literary works written in different languages. In this thesis, Turkish writer Sadık Yalsızuçanlar's novel named Gezgin and Saudi writer Muhammed Hasan Alvan's Mevtun Sağîrun, which biographically discusses Muhyiddîn İbnü'l Arabî's personality, are examined in terms of structure, content, language and style. aspects will be compared.
