Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and burnout in health workers. The study examined the level of emotional intelligence and burnout of 144 employees, including physicians, nurses, health officers, midwives, and auxiliary medical personnel working in a state hospital. It is very important to ensure proper communication with the patient in the health sector. This condition reveals the effectiveness of emotional intelligence in health workers, and in addition, working conditions also provide information about situations that encounter burnout. The study used the Maslach Burnout scale and the revised Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale. In the analysis of the data, cronbach alpha, Mann Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis test, correlation analysis, frequency tests were used. As a result of the research, it was found that the relationship between emotional intelligence and burnout in health workers differs according to demographic variables and according to working years.
